FINDING THE ORTONA

The Ortona is located in Edmonton’s Bermuda Triangle:

The Ortona Armoury at 9722-102 Street, near downtown Edmonton. It’s a large two-story brick building, formerly a Hudson Bay Building and the H.M.C.S. Nonsuch. The building is nestled in the heart of Edmonton’s beautiful river valley. There is a large gravel parking lot on the south side of the building. As much as possible try to park against the south wall of the building. Parking is free.

If you’re coming from the south:
Follow 111 Street up to 61 Ave, turn right onto 61 Ave and then turn left onto 109 Street. Continue on 109 Street all the way to the river valley and veer right onto Walterdale Hill Road. You’ll pass by the Kinsman Sport Centre on your left and continue across the metal bridge (Walterdale Bridge). Turn right onto Rossdale Road, you’ll pass Telus Field on your right. Turn Right onto 97 Ave and then take your first left (uncontrolled intersection) onto 102 Street. The Ortona Arts Building will be on your left.

If you’re coming from the east:
Follow Baseline Road (101 Ave.) until it becomes 98 Ave. You’ll pass the pyramids (Mutart Conservatory) on your left, cross the James MacDonald bridge, and soon after turn right onto 102 Street. The Ortona Arts Building will be on your left.

If you’re coming from the west:
Follow Stony Plain Road until it becomes 104 Ave, turn right on 109 Street, continue until you get to the Legislature (on your left) and turn left into the tunnel under the Legislature (97 Ave.). After you exit the tunnel you’ll pass through 4 controlled intersections in quick succession before turning left across 97 Ave. at an uncontrolled intersection onto 102 Street. The Ortona Arts Building will be on your left.

If you’re coming from the north:
Follow 97 Street all the way to Jasper. Turn left on Jasper, then turn right on 96 Street. Turn right again on Grierson Hill, follow it down the hill and merge into Rossdale Road, cross the overpass and turn left on 102 Street. The Ortona Arts Building will be on your right.
